Township of Assiginack Project: High-Speed Internet Expansion in Township of Assiginack
Dear Township of Assiginack Residents,
We are pleased to announce that ROCK Networks a part of the PomeGran Group, has been awarded a project to enhance high-speed internet access across Manitoulin Island, including Township of Assiginack. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to improving broadband services in Northern Ontario, bringing increased connectivity to underserved areas.
Project Overview
This initiative aims to deploy fibre infrastructure to ensure reliable and high-speed internet service. The work involves installing fibre-optic cables, upgrading network equipment, and coordinating with community leaders to ensure minimal disruption. By expanding broadband capacity, we hope to support Assiginack’s connectivity needs and overall development.
Key Project Information
Duration of Presence in Township of Assiginack:
- Survey: November 2024- December 2024
- Fibre Deployment: March 2025 – July 2025
Daily Work Hours:
- Approximately 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Potential Impacts:
- During the deployment, there may be minor disruptions to traffic or pedestrian pathways. We are committed to working efficiently to minimize these inconveniences.
